Silverware

I found this yesterday at a school.
It reads "G R CALHOUN & CO. STER" underneath and engraved A. P. on top.

Researching this I found:
"George Reid Calhoun / G.R. Calhoun & Co.
Nashville, TN 1847-1903
Worked with his brother William H. Calhoun. Upon his brother's death in
1865, he continued as G.R. Calhoun & Co. until his own death in 1903."

Too bad it isn't the whole utensil. It is 21.5g though!

I'll bet some kid got in "hot water" over that deal!

Thanks for the pictures.

That would make a nice ring!
Yeah I was thinking lady's bracelet, but it might be too small.

I am thinking someone was dumping trash there before the school was built in the 1920s, it broke and they dumped it. It's a public school and I doubt they had silver spoons that elaborate. There is a relative mansion across the alley from the school, and the area was a fresh air (1000ft lol) mountain get away used to escape from coleara epidemics in the city around the turn of the century.
