Simplex hits it big in carpet of nails

My buddy and I hit the same property in Carthage ,TN. We hit last month. But with the small sp-24 coil.
Iron everywhere, but slower swing speed and turning at 90° to target helped us have a freaking banner day
14 total bullets with half being carved
US belt plate missing 2 attachments on back
US service eagle service button
Horse shoe and we think a piece to a wagon, it is hand forged and was found next to the plate
Dug dozens and dozens of nails square and modern. Our best day detecting by far.

Congratulations on your Civil War relics! Beautiful Plate too!!

Since we dont have those items out here as a rule then I will live thru you guys. I do know where a calvary unit camped back when the local Indian tribes were fighting so working on getting permission for that over the winter!

Gatorfan, even though you have the word Gator in your avatar, that was One Great Relic Hunt. Congrat's on some very nice saves of History of the U.S. belt plate, the button, and the carved bullets. Like said, go back to that site and take your time. Well Done. This was a Relic Hunters early Christmas present. Thanks for sharing. From Confetrit', a Dawg Fan.
