You say it's "turning to rubber" how long have you had it? I've haven't noticed any significant warping of mine. I've had it about a year.

They sell a carbon fiber lower rod because this same issue happened to everyone. Love mine.

They made a carbon fiber lower rod lol. They will sell it to you. That's their remedy.

Get the carbon fiber lower shaft, makes a huge difference. Jim

I'm 6' 2" tall so I had to extended the shafts out almost to their limits and the they started to get wobbly after about a year of use.
I recently replaced the lower rod with the carbon fiber one and they also make a longer middle shaft (4 inches longer than the stock shaft) so I got that too.
I paid $34 for the carbon fiber lower shaft and $25 for the longer upper shaft plus shipping cost. It wasn't too expensive and it made a big difference.
