Small Coil Preference?

Bell-Two

Active member
I am thinking about getting a small coil for my e-trac and I am trying to decide between Sunray 8' and SEF 6x8 what opinions do you have about these? Thanks

I personally like the X 8 coil. It does a superb job for me in some really trashy places. I actually liked the 6X8 better but it weighs perk near half a pound more than the X 8. I got the same performance out of both of the coils so I leaned towards the X 8 then let the 6X8 go. All I have now are the X 5, X8, and X12 coils from Sunray. They do the job as good as pro coil and the SEF coils imo. The E Trac is a different animal when you lighten up the tip of the lower shaft a little. 7 to 9 inch coins are no problem for me in my ground with the X 8. Pick up a good used one and give it a try, you can always get what you payed for it back right quick.

About equal in performance with the 8x6 separating a we bit better for me.If you really want to get the goodies out of heavy trash get a Sunray x5.It works with surgical precision and still gets great depth for it's size. Also feels light as a feather:thumbup:
