Small coils?

cosmic

Member
I'm sure this has been covered many time before.. I'm still wondering what the deepest small coil for the Etrac.. I have a minelab 8" and was wondering how the aftermarket coils compare.. I mainly coin hunt in mid mineralization trashy areas.. Deep on, Trash high, Auto sensitivity around 22, Mineralization low .. Any advice will be greatly appreciated..

The S.E.F 8x6 is extremely good and deep.If you are in the trashiest of trashy sites the Sun Ray Stealth X5 Coil is as good as they get for my money,Ray.
Link to X 5 report if it works....

I have the 5" and 6" EQ2 Pro coils and they are excellent in the thickest of trashy areas. I use Ferrous 2 tone with the sensitivity set on manual 30 and they just scream out the good targets from the trash. Also have the Joey coil and it is becoming one of my favorites too because it gets great separation in trash and covers more area quicker. I personally don't think you can have a bad coil as long as it's attached to an Etrac!

I really like my 8x6 sef ,and plan on leaving it on more and more especially for the old homesites and trashy parks.

Thanks all!! I guess I'll just pick on at random and go with it..

Hi! I wanted to get the excellerator 5" but in the Kellyco advertisement the 5" was listed for Sovereigns not explorer or e-trac so I didn't know you could use it on the e-trac. I ended up ordering the 6" but got it just in time for winter,so won't get to use it until spring. I am curious as to why you bought both the 5" and 6" and why you like the 6" the best. Please email me back and let me know what your experiences have been with them and if should consider both. I also bought the 12x15 sef and have been reading real good things about it on the forum. Thanks! Robert
