Smaller coils...

So, does anyone know of any plans of a smaller coil for the Deus/ORX? I think many would be pleased with one.

A lot of people have been wanting one for YEARS for the Deus and it hasn't happened yet!

And there would be a huge market for them. Doesn't make sense. I would prefer a smaller coil over the bigger coils any day. Just think what the Deus/ORX could do with a 6 inch coil. Total game changer.

Just think, if they could make one to hunt in 4, 8, 12, 18, and 20 K at the same time. that would be the trick.

I bet they could. Would put the others out of business

Guess for now you'll have to use the elliptical. Many claim it works great for finding jewelry in trashy areas. I don't see a six inch coil doing any better.

I agree, but I like using lower frequencies

yes exactly the 5x10 works as good as a 5" coil in my opinion. no need for a smaller one. the deus already separates better than anything out there.

It would be interesting, too, if they could make a smaller-size Concentric coil. My primary-use XP ORX coil is the 5X9½ HF Double-D coil and, yes, it works quite well and can handle many a trashy environments. However, some places are more challenging with trash, and I also work sites with a lot of brush and building rubble where a smaller-size coil works in and around everything much better. Give the consumer, and proud XP user, a little more variety and that would be great.

I use the 5X9½ HF Double-D coil set at 15 khz and can find a specific coin in a coin spill. If they had a smaller Double-D coil I would be on board. :detecting:

a 7" X35 would be a nice size. still get good depth but still be ok in the woods. it would be nice if it was a closed coil or had a closed coil cover.
