Some days are just like that...

Went out detecting at a couple old parks today where I've found wheat pennies and mercury dimes in the past. Couldn't find anything older than 1960 in 5 hours of detecting in dried out, rock hard dirt.

Went to Taco Bueno for dinner and the clerk gave me a 1944D war nickel in change. What the hey!!!!!

lol....consolation prize. i always thought that the really bad, bad coinless days make those special silver filled days even better! one of my last times out was really bad, checked out a few new places and was coinless. just didnt pan out. one place that would be oustanding was just so overgown with the thickest weeds and shrubbery that it was not detectable. then i asked permission to try a spot that Ive been eyeing for a couple years, nice lady - but permission denied. yuck.
