Read a post on another forum by one of the people who help develope the relic program for the V3. Said you could get a little more depth if you just run it on single frequency 22hz

That is true for any of the multi-frequency programs. The available output power is used for one frequency instead of spreading it out for three.

22 KHz will give you more apparent sensitivity to items, but that is only true if ground conditions allow, and the target is of a certain dimensions, etc.

A silver Eagle dollar will be detected more deeply by 2.5 KHz, in poor soil, than by 22 KHz..........food for thought??

I am talking about the relic program only not looking for coins, have bullet buried in back yard down 9 inches. Using 22hz picked it up no problem, the 2hz was sporadic. That is why the man that helped develope the relic program for the V made the statement that you get more depth in the relic program using 22hz

If the middle frequency hits the strongest on lead and brass targets, why is the high frequency the one that is suggested for better depth on relics?
