Some of my finds

Larry (IL)

Well-known member
The more I use the Deus, the more impressed I get with it's capabilities. I have yet to get any great depth from it but I am not giving up yet, it might be a combination of where I am hunting and/or the high discrimination that I'm using, more hunting will tell. It seems like 6 to 7 inches is about the maximum depth that I get in my ground anyway..... so far. I was out again today and was surprised at the number of wheat cents coming to light from a local park that I and many others have hunted heavily, 6 wheats in two hours. These wheats were at the very apex of detection, a very weak, intermittently repeatable, no VDI and just the very tip of the horseshoe showing black, jumping back and forth between ferrous and non-ferrous, but to me that is a digable target. I sure would like to find another 3 or 4 inches of depth yet, time will tell as I try different frequencies and settings.

Anyway here are some of the finds that did find their way into my pouch due mainly to the separation capabilities of the Deus.

Nice finds Larry. One thing I can't help wondering is if Deus users will start picking up more 3 centers. This machine has proven excellent on hammereds which should mean that it nails small coins such as 3 centers. I wish I had one to test but I guess I will just have to spend some time finding one and see for myself. Thanks for sharing and I look forward to getting that large coil tomorrow to test. HH -Marc

Happy your liking the capabilities more and more..

Sounds like you have it dialed in well. I am getting much deeper than that, might be my settings. I set my descrimiate at 10 and sens at low 90ies. The reactivity effects the depth as well. Try using 2 or lower. Still a very very fast machine even at 1. Freq at 12. Those settings should help your depth.

Im just wondering why you have to , or chose to run the disc so high? Does this machine have a prob with seperating trash?

Thanks Bart, when I get a chance, I will be using G-Maxx, but it is just too danged noisy in these parks for me to tolerate for very long.

The parks are full of can slaw and aluminium foil that I have been hunting. I can't stand to listen to all of the noise but I thought it was a good place to put the Deus to the test.

Looks like you cleaned out the place Cool !!!! :please:
