Since I've been on vacation, I've been able to go to the beach to catch the low tides. Man, this is the life! I could handle it if I didn't have to work for a living
I hit a different place on Sunday morning at sunrise and worked the base of the low tide in a bay. Things looked really great when I hit a good target at the end of my first (LONG) pass. Only 1 scoop down I found my 3rd gold since last Thursday. Has some fake stones missing but it's fairly heavy and it's marked 14K. With a ton of beach still to cover and no holes in sight, I figured I was in for a multiple gold day

Unfortunately, that was not to be
I should have taken pictures of how I gridded out the beach (dragging my scoop behind me). I covered every square inch of a large area and found nada; just a couple of clad and the ubiquitous pull tabs. Go figure
Yesterday, I was able to eek out two silvers earrings on the ocean side:

Oh... a while back I posted a pic of a small ring I found in the same area I was finding colonial stuff. I had a friend look at it and it did test 14K (there was no mark) and the stones are garnets. They figure it's from the 60's or the 70's so it's not that old...

This morning I got a watch that looks like it's been buried for a while (although it's still got the right time):
I also eyeballed a religious bracelet that's made of wood... interesting looking. Also got a junk earring and another religious pendant that might be silver (I have to clean it up):

When I dig dirt, I basically go over the same places (because they are so close to my house) looking for silver but finding mostly clad. Here's the clad from the last couple of weeks digging dirt and the beach. Not pictured is a '53 Washington and a '57 Rosie. I found the Rosie in with my clad (glad I checked)... it was pretty beat up. In with the pennies were 10 Wheaties; the oldest being a 1919.

That diamond ring I found? Turns out Vicky does not want to wear it... She feels bad for the person that lost it. I can understand how she feels. This was the first really good find for me and I'm sure someone was real upset... Eventually, I may try to sell it. For now it'll stay in my ring case.
