These were found with the Omega in a cotton field where a old house once stood.

Good finds tabman. How are you liking the Omega? What does the token say? HH jim tn

Jim I like the Omega just fine, if I can find a place to use it where the EMI isn't too bad. Unlike you, I can't stand a bunch of chatter in my ear.

Here's a link to a clean one. LINK

If you had gotten back a little earlier from your trip you could have hunted the same field with me. Lee had another Buddy Hunt at his property.

Tab, I know it seems disconcerting that the Omega has to be dialed down due to EMI. But Eathmansurfer, a very experienced user, did some air tests on the Omega in comparison. Here is a quote:

"I know air tests don't say a lot but I did air tests on all of my machines...G2 at full sensitivity don't hit as deep as the Omega 8000 set at 55.I set both machines as high as I could for testing inside and still be stable. Actually, the Omega with sens set at 55 was hitting coins as deep as my MXT Pro (set to +2 almost max sens) was in air tests indoors. I was very happy with those results. I've never had a machine that would go nuts at high sens settings like the Omega does and was worried I wouldnt get the depth due to using a much lower setting...however I was very wrong."

I used to own a T2, and now the Omega, and I swear both machines are just as hot in regards to sensitivity. So I wouldn't be overly concerned if you have to dial down the sensitivity for stability. It will get the job done.

Thanks for the info. I need to do some testing for myself. If I can turn down the sensitivity enough on the Omega to stop it from chattering and still get as much depth as I do with my Gold Bug Pro (with the 11 inch DD coil) set at full sensitivity , I'll be a real happy camper.
