Some Seated this Weekend

It was a decent hunt this weekend. I was able to get out for 6 hours at my favorite place. My best find was an 1870 seated half dime. It read 12-37 @7" on the CTX. I also found 18 Indians, 2 two cent pieces (1864 and 186:geek: an 1861 seated dime and two mercs. Of course the usual clad and Wheaties and 2 V nickels.

way to go Zilla - incredible stuff for 6 hours. That is what I call fast and furious

Love those two centers Congrats

Very nice! What do 2 cent pieces come up as on the CTX?

Todd me too. They are hard to find these days. I see we are kind of close to each other.

Duke...they come in at 12-38. I have found 4 this year and they all came in at that number.

Thanks! They must give a good strong signal since they are a larger coin.

They sound larger when pinpointing but at the depth I have been digging them (8") they sound like pennies

I would be happy with those if it took me several years to find them. In 30 years of detecting, I have found 4 seated coins here in Michigan.

Oh wow. I don't know where you live but man you're in the right spot!

Wow Jim - just looking at those oldies makes me want to pass out:yikes: What kind of spot was it (private property, public park)? Nice, nice job.
