Some times it does pay to be inquisitive!:detecting:

With our recent rains, decided to work some housing site driveways this morning. They are gravel and Tn clay, so they can only be dug on with some good moisture in the ground. Otherwise, concrete! Didn't dig may targets today, but one, for lack of other terminology, was an iffy one. It gave a mix of tones and readings and I almost passed it up thinking it might be a bottle cap trying to make my F 75 LTD and me think otherwise. Since it is easy digging, I went for it. The first picture shows the targets that were all in the same clod. A screw incased in plastic, a 1959 one shilling and a 1982 Caymon Islands 1 coin. Along the way did manage 2 wheat cents, USN spoon, a few cents and clad coins and the 1917 Mercury dime. Yesterday Gerald, Chris and I hit a big field and gravel parking lot that was loaded with molten lead, iron and other trash. We did manage a few wheat cents, some clad and I got the black? Mercury dime. Can't get a date out of it just yet....and probably won't. Thanks for looking and HH jim tn

Jim I am not going to read your posts anymore. You show all those good finds with those iffy signals. When I read your posts and say I will dig those iffy signals from now on. All I get from those iffy signals is trash! Every one of them is garbage. :surprised:
You must be that guy that changes trash into cash????
Jim I am coming down there to just stand next to you so some of that silver that is running in your vanes will splash on to me. :clapping:
Just kidding Jim....
Great hunting and excellent detecting........Z

Hey Z, for the few iffy signals that turn out to be good, there are many more that turn out to be trash. But, I know you know that. Jeez, great idea turning trash into cash. How do we do it? Thanks, HH jim tn

In a driveway no less! :surprised: What did we learn here fellas? Some sites are very seldom huntable and hunted, Jim can find silver anywhere, and theres a gold coin in his future soon!:clapping:

Inqusitive =
given to inquiry, research, or asking questions; intellectually curious: an inquisitive mind.

"Given to inquiry," with a detector might apply El, but all that other stuff was set aside when I retired. According to my old boss, maybe before then. LOL Hit a park this morning that has begrudgingly given up a couple of silver dimes over the years, but just isn't quite old enough to probably have very much. Hence, for those of you that think I am able to pluck silver off of trees every time out, that is not the case. Really chased gold this morning and dug 23 tabs, 7 slaw pieces and a couple other trash items. As a result, did get 13 nickels, 11 dimes and quarters combined and 5 pennies. HH jim tn
