Got out some to the old city park and found this stuff at the bottom of the sledding hill. Nothing old. Ground is still frozen. Hard to get digger down more than an inch but it sure was fun. Boy am I sore!!!!
Still waiting to get my new detector. Taxes ate up almost half my bonus. Will have to downgrade my previous choices to something a big cheaper if I want to get something sooner than later. Looking at the X Terra 70 now. A bit easier to learn than the explorer from the looks of things - but have to change the head for each of the three available operating frequencies. Looks like I would have to search each area three times (once for each head thats attached) in order to take full advantage of the multi frequency technology.
Does the explorer SE require changing the head every time I want to search in a different frequency range or will one head transmit all frequencies at once? Maybe the Quatro would be the best next choice - but I don't see anything for either the SE or Quatro that says it can be used as a dual purpose machine (coin shooting and prospecting). I know - no gold in Iowa - but someday I may move somewhere that has the stuff. I don't have the cash to buy both a coin/relic machine and a gold hunting machine.
Can a person that can't figure out how to make a digital camera focus properly hope to learn to use an Explorer SE?
(i was actually just trying to be funny on that last question)
