Spanish half reale

[TMAC in PA]

Got out for the first time this year and found another piece of Spanish silver. Found it in a cornfield along the Juniata River where the original indian trail went through. Registered as penny on my Explorer II. Keep on diggin...

AWESOME find! I'm familar with the area (having spent several years in State College ), but didn't know about the "original Indian trail" you speak of. VERY cool!

Yeah State College is just about a forty minute jaunt over Pine Grove mountain from here. The Frankstown path was the name of the trail.It went from trail to canal and later railroad. Alot of it was saved for a recreation path called rails to trails here in central Pa. Alot of history along this path. You should look it up the next time you get back this way...
