Speaking of pictures.......

Here is a pict of me and my granddaughter Brandy. It's the best one I can locate at this time. Alittle about myself is in order I think. Have been with the same lady for 24 years. I have one daughter and 3 grandkids on my side. And on her side I have a few grandkids. I don't think I want to count them all right now. Makes me feel a little older in some way, when I have to count them. But I love them all as if they was all mine. I am 50 years old and loving life. I am a vet. I have been building custom made fishing rods for the 13 years. And still love building them. I love metal detecting, fishing(of course), hiking in the high country and getting out of the city. I have lived in California for the most of my life. But, have traveled all over the world at one time or another. One thing I have found over the last few years is that, I have always been looking for that pot of gold at the end of the rainbow. And it was there all the time. But I just had to look a different way. I was always looking down(but with a different veiw) and I needed to look the other way UP. And there it was. The LORD JESUS CHRIST is the biggest pot of gold that any man or women could ever find in a life time. Thank You all for letting me share a little of my life with all you wonderful people. Thank You All. Joe

Hi Joe! I enjoyed reading your post and about your life, so far, as 50 is still young to me! :) Nice pic and, Yes, Jesus is our pot-of-gold at the end of God's rainbow....for His throne shines like unto an Emerald! Won't it be wonderful when we get there to be with our blessed Savior forever? Each day I get closer to leaving this old world and being with HIm in God's Glorious City! Save those who will be saved; then come quickly, Lord Jesus! Amen! God Bless! Betty

I felt bad after I posted my previous pic that I had left my wife out. Here are my wife, my English Setter, and my son.
God Bless
ps My dog's tongue is usually not like this :lmfao:

I have the blessing of being married to my best friend for over twenty years now. I am a custom cabinet builder, work in a 2 man shop and do it all; from planing the rough sawn lumber to putting on finish to installing the final product. I am very active in church, a deacon and youth group leader. The Lord is stretching my wings by having me try teaching the adult bible class. The first lesson went over very well, Thanks to God's amazing power.

My wife and best friend Anna is the office manager for our church. She also helps out in youth group and teaches the girls on Wednesday nights. We have two children. Bethany is 18 and graduates this year. She wants to go to Grand Valley State and study to be a mid-wife with and English minor. She loves little babies and writing. Ian is 14 and loves golf and drumming. He wants to be a Marine sniper, professional golfer that drums in a band and work with youth group in his spare time. We will see where all that goes.

Anna and I love detecting, and have met some incredible people since starting last year. It has been great reading the posts and this idea of people "introducing" themselves was inspired. Thanks Lisa!!

This the wrong end of the camera for me, so not a whole lot exist! However, this is one of my favorites from a year ago - me with first grand-daughter! It was harder on my son-in-law and me than it was on my oldest daughter....
