Spectra V3 verses the V3i - Becoming Reacquanted

Early on, I purchased the V3 and had a blast with it. Life happens and I've not been able to hunt in a while or hang out on the foums. so my simple question - What's the difference between the V3 and the V3i?

V3 has been discontinued. The primary changes in V3i are:

- Support for Foreign languages (i -> international)
- On-board Quick Reference system
- Stereo mix-mode audio
- Polar analysis plot
- Prospecting analysis scan
- Single frequency salt tracking
- Several other minor improvements

V3i discontinued the wireless data transfer and removed the recommended gain.

Getting the upgrade is money well spent David and some say the V3i is more stable and quiet than the V3.
 
Also, you can adjust it to any size Whites coil that you put on it. I thought that was a cool feature.

I live in Pennsylvania and I don't remember where I need to send my unit to get the upgrade... can anyone help me out please?

Bob is a great guy and will have it back in about a week.
 
WOW - sent my V3 to Bob via FedX Ground last Wednesday (from Atlanta GA area) and got it back FedX Ground on MONDAY!! I sent it in a plain brown box (well packed and padded) and it was returned in a nice new box with a V3i sticker on it - Bob rocks! Make sure to send the headphones as well. Some are eligible for the free upgrade (pay return shipping of $25) and some will be charged the $125 upgrade - call Whites in Sweet Home and they will let you know.
