The area I was hunting had turned up seateds and old indians before but I really thought I'd cleaned it up already. This one was an inch or two deep but REAL close to a pull tab. I was swinging slow enough this time to separate the two. It pays to slow down!!!

I agree, also i have found another or two just going at about a fourty five degree angle to my last search of the area.
Congrats thats a Beaut.

nice finds , you better get all your hunting in before the snows cover the park, i will come up some time & maybe get some of those coins in that park where i seen you last , unless you get them all, hh. hope to get up there soon, hh.

Last Saturday, I found my first seated ever at a local park at less then 4 inches. No trees, no roots and no trash around. I have found Mercs, Roosies and Barber all around this dime at 7 to 9 inches. It was a 1875 and it is my oldest coin to date. PJ
