Standing guard..........

Kelley (Texas)

New member
I took this picture of a Goose who appears to be standing guard over a flock of ducks at a stock tank in Eastern Bexar County, Texas. Knowing how they can possibly be of a nasty, mean tempered disposition, I did not mess with him. This picture was taken with a Sony A300 DSLR camera using a Sony 75-300mm kit lens. Your right there they aren't to freindly sometimes . When I was a kid we raised gray geese and they bit me several times on the rear end at a full run. I think some of our geese would just watch for us to cross the yard then here they would come at a full run after us ,I got so I was a pretty fast runner back then . One time I remember my Grandmother was hanging washing on the clothes line and one flew up and flobbed her in the back while she wasn't looking .
