I carry my E-Trac in the bag all the time when I'm not using it. But lately when I take it out and hit the power button it doesn't turn on. If I hit the box it start up just fine. then I can turn it on and off just fine. I have checked the the connections just to make sure they are tight. Anyone else have the problem?? Thanks Spark
 
Spark is it with the rechargeable pack or double a's ? You might clean the terminals with a new pencil erasure too. hope this helps Al hh
 
Al KS it happens with both A's And the rechargeable. But I'll try to clean them just in case Thanks Spark
 
Sounds like a bad connection at the batter pack contacts like Al mentioned..I have had the same thing happen a few times and that was what caused the issue in my case.I have had the same type thing happen if I sat the machine down a little hard while detecting as the machine would shut off.
