Sunday's Finds, 05/04/2008.

I went back to our local park to see if I could find more gold today. Well, gold was not found, but I did find silver, 1919 Mercury Dime. I also found two Lincoln Wheat Cents, 1925-S and a 1944. I also found Three Clad Dimes and Four Memorials. The odd and unexpected find was a African Pin or something, I do not know what it is. It is about 2 inches tall and a Inch and a half wide, and made out of copper. It has been buried for a long time, as it has a dark green color to it. It numbered out at 07/27 on my Explorer II at an even six inches deep. Also I took a tumble down the hill side and ended up in a bush, on my back with my feet in the air, LOL,LOL.. The good part was that if that bush was not there, I would have ended up at the bottom of the hill. I did have to find all my finds again, under the bush, took about ten minutes. I scrapped my arm a good bit, but that will heal. It was a great day in a hunted out park. HH...Jesse.

Neat finds!

Now I'm really curious about that pin. Crossed my mind that it might be slave-related depending on what part of the country you're from.

That is an African motif Jesse. What it went to is unknown to me, but I suspect a hair pin or pick.
