Sunray probe on e trac?????

Hers the question if the sunray probe read targets different than the coil. Example. Quarter with coil reads 46. Probe reads 47. Dime with coil reads 44. With probe 45. All readings are higher with the probe. Anyway how can a pattern be installed by using the probe? Thanks. I would think they should read the same with coil/probe

I get the same reading from my coil and my probe, I find it easier to use the probe to show someone the different target numbers. I am not sure why yours isnt showing the same but make sure your in the same mode for both, you have noise cancelled and clear of interference then try it again.

If your numbers are still off I wouldnt set a pattern from your probe

When I've scanned coins with probe or /coil there can be a one or two number fluctuation on the scans...The angle of the coin can cause a slight difference in the numbers also...I've always created scanned in patterns using the Sunray probe, and have very good results in the field using whatever size coil I deem necessary for the location...Some say air scans aren't the same as "in the ground" scans, but have worked fine for me...I would suggest to scan a pattern and then go out and determine if the results are good for you..Good Luck..
