Sunray Probe

New member
Just recieved my Sunray X-1 Today, Was using a Garrett Pro, But it Died on me before Xmas, Ive Never used the sunray before, Bus it should be nice not to have to remove the headphones to hear my target, How do you Guys Find them ?.
All I need now is for the Snow to go Away.

You will LOVE it. Best feature is that it is basically a mini detector using your discrimination. So if your looking for the target which happens to be a rusty nail that tricked you into digging, as you get closer to the target your detector will null and you can move on without needing to recover junk.

I've used the Sunray in-line probes on my detectors for years & "luv 'em", they are GREAT products!----BUT, in all fairness to the Garrett Pro Pointer--you don't have to take your headphones off to use it or for it to be effective, the vibrator on it works very well (IMO).---I own & use both of those probes and (though different) think they are the best two probes on the market right now.---Again, this is JMHO! ---------Del

Can't say enough good things about my X-1 probe. It is one product that works better than I thought it would. But don't forget to toggle it back off when you are done with it:rofl:

GREAT POINT coinnut!!!----I GOTTA remember to do that!----I still forget sometimes.---Plumb embarassing when I've gotta go back over the same ground again (especially when someones watchin)! --------Del

Thanks Guys, Yea no doubt i will forget to Flick it back above once, Ive fitted it to my e-trac now, and yea it is like a mini detector, tried it on a few loose coins in my hand, and the readings is spot on, do you use it in the detect mode then all of the time or in the pinpoint mode, Dont even add any weight as i noticed too, which is good, its nice to have there at hand as well, instead of one in a holster or in your pocket, and i wont forget to leave this behind like ive done with the garrett, got home and it hit me i left it stood up in the sand, 70 mile round trip to go see if it was still there, and it was, lucky it was getting dark or it would have been on e-bay i bet.

The best thing about the Sunray IMO is that it acts just like your detector. No more pinpointing only to find that the coin was in the side of the hole and you just dug an 8 inch deep piece of iron instead! :yikes:

Great Choice. I couldn't detect without it, after going 25 years without one. I carry it in my left hand to lighten the load. It really makes a difference.
Good Luck.
