SunRay X1 probe

Will the SunRay X-1 Probe that I had on my Explorer XS work on my Etrac, upper shaft and all? The person I sold my old Ex Xs to did not want the extra weight of the probe on the machine, so he told me I could keep the upper shaft and the probe. So I was just wondering if this could be done and would the probe work with my Etrac.........Thanks Larry

Guess I'll just have to try it. I was under the standing that the Etrac was NOT an Explorer series machine.....sorry, I got it down here now, gonna try it....Thanks.........NGE

Thanks for the encouragement Pointer80, I just hooked it all up and it appears to be working just fine. Now all I have to do is paint the upper shaft black......NGE

The probe itself will work fine but the upper shafts were a little larger on the XS and may cause damage to the camlock on later Explorers & Etracs.. I tried one once and it required more pressure than I was comfortable with to lock down the camlock. If your camlock locks in with pressure similar to locking in the the lower shaft its fine, if you have to use a lot of force, Id consider selling to a XS user and getting one with the proper upper shaft...wildherre
