sunray x12 coil or 11" pro coil?

My 2 most used coils. The Sunray covers more area, goes deeper, but is substantially heavier and more awkward in the woods.I love mine for larger more open areas.I use the stock pro for most applications.

That question is hard to answer with any degree of accuracy without knowing how and where you plan on using them. Both are superb coils without question. The Sunray may get a bit more depth depending on the mineral content of your soil.Weight is in favor of the pro coil hands down. Separation is just shy of miraculous with the pro coil for it's size.Sunray covers a bit more ground and is nice for those wide open areas without to much trash.
pro coil is extremely stable and quiet and the sunray is very good in those respects as well.I think the pro coil has a slight edge on very small targets.Either one will do a superb job when used as intended:thumbup:

I have used the pro and the SEF but the coil I use always now is the Sunray.

I use the Sun Ray 12 for everything. Great depth, coverage and separation. Also light weight. I do not even bother to carry the pro coil.

I hope to get an X12 some time soon. I need more depth at my favorite spot, which is pounded to hell.

I will be sure to share my experiences with it once I get it and try it out.
