Switching coils question

dig1ny

New member
Is there anything you need to do when you switch coils? I wasnt sure if the detector needed to be reset or anything else.Couldnt find the answer to this and didnt see it covered before.Im new to this machine.

Thank you

Nope--as long as the coil is designed to work with the E-Trac and you get the connector completely connected, you should be good to turn on and go. Since the depth indicator on the display is essentially calibrated for the 11" Pro coil, the use of another coil may cause a less accurate depth reading--usually will indicate deeper than actual target depth when using smaller coils.

Thanks so much

I can deal with the indicator being a lil off. There are places that Id love to use the big coil and wanted to make sure I wasnt going to be covering ground with the detector set up wrong. I havnt had this too long but Im really enjoying learning it.
