I just ordered a T2 today and can't wait for delivery. I just wondered from you guys who have some hours under your belt what do you use for batteries? alkaline or Nimh? and if you recharge which do you recommend as best for the T2?
I ordered with the raincovers but not the coil covers as I never use them, and I hear the T2 is extremley sensitive and don't want to chance getting soil inside the cover.
I realize the T2 is best at relics and I plan on hitting out of the way spots in Eastern Oregon maybe along the Oregon Trail. And could appreciate any tips for starting out with this fine detector
I'm retired and am putting together the lifestyle I"d dreamed about when younger. I finally decided on a full size truck with 4x4, reg cab longbed, with maybe an Alaskan Camper. I want to be able to travel some funky roads if need be and can't risk getting stuck. I thought about a Toyota or Nissan reg cab longbed small truck 4x4 but the campers are too small for extended camping. They would have been cheaper on gas but ..and the regular rec vehicles don't have 4x4, so I gotta hope the price of Diesel goes down
So I'm slowly getting it together and hope to go for 3 to 4 week spurts, I'll take pictures of anything interesting and post. Sorry for the long read I'm usually short but I'll fall back on a Batchelors Privilidge. Mike
