T2-Broke alot

Broke in what way? Had my T2 for awhile now and it's been a solid performer. I have noticed the control housing moves a bit when I push the menu button. Almost like it is connected to the rod by a plastic bracket under the handle rubber. That is about the only thing I've kept my eye on. Being very gentle with the control unit.

No longer have my T2....but if it is like my Omega...if you peel back the top of the foam handgrip...its a pain...and do it by hand so you don't tear it....there is a screw that is used to attach control head to handgrip. Tighten it.

Never had a problem with the T2 .......other than getting tired digging all it found..and that wasn't really a problem.

they replaced the coil six months ago,now the unit was shutting off while in operation, now it wont turn on at all, thanks

Thanks Terra.. I'll check out the screw.

bigmike,

did you check the battery compartment to see if the springs or terminals aren't making good contact with the batteries?

I bought a like new used one early last year and have been using it a lot . No problems with it yet . I've found some great stuff with and would never get rid of it .

No problems with mine so far. HH
ric

No problems here
i did lose audio but discovered it was the headphone jack

I've used mine hard for 4 years and the only issue I've had is a wire came loose in the coil connection. I probably had it coiled too tight around the rod. Re soldered it and everything is fine. When it does quit on me I'll buy another T2. I haven't seen any reason to replace it with a different model.

I put my T2 through hell the past 6 months and its a trooper! No problems what so ever! Ive had it out in the rain, mud, and -5* weather! The only problem I have ever had is that when its below 10 degrees the T2 gets a little sluggish and eventually you can turn the knob but the settings wont change. Once it warms up its good as new! Of course I dont think to many people have the desire to be detecting in those conditions but if you ever do just turn the knob really slow and it will work! LOL Like I said I put a beating on this machine and to this day no real issues! It is def one tough machine for how lite it is! You must have got that one faulty one out of the bunch! Im sure once they get it fixed the right way, you shouldnt have any more problems!
