T2 "Chatter"??

I live in Metro Atlanta, Ga. & am thinking about getting a T2 or a T2 Ltd. I DO have concerns about "Chatter" or interference from EMI as I am surrounded by well, EVERYTHING! I would LOVE to hear from anyone who uses a T2 or T2Ltd in the Atlanta area & I'd luv your thoughts on these detectors performance in the Ga. red clay soils too! (Omega 8000 users are welcome to chime in too!!) Thanks!

Are you hearing actual targets. The T2 will hit targets other machines do not hit and do it fast.. So make sure you know the dif in sounds.

You can swing the coil and hear ratatatratatat and if you stop and dig them it will be targets not EMI noise.

Thanks for the reply Elton! I haven't bought the T2 YET (I have a XLT) but I've heard/read a LOT about EMI "issues" with the sensitive T2 & just trying to make the best decision for me.

Contact Don Dotson at North Georgia Relics. He is a hunter of that area and sells the Teknetics machines as well as other brands. That is a good question you asked before spending your hard earned money and I would advise you to give him a call. He is a good man to deal with also. Good luck and HH :teknetics::minelab:

@hershey1 - Yes! Thanks for that! I need advice from someone in my "Ga. red clay soil" area too! I appreciate it!

I have a Gamma and heard those nasty T2 EMI rumors too before I upgraded to the T2.
The T2 is no more chatty than the Gamma...If you don't want it to be. In all metal mode, you can elect on your threshold level, but overall,
I find the T2 to be pretty stable EMI wise. Nothing like the stuff you read about.
