T2+ Struggling

I’ve been hunting with the T2+ for almost 2 years. Love the machine but have noticed it struggles with lead. Anyone else having this issue?

Lotta T 2 users over the years so am kind of surprised no responses. Had a T 2 about the time the F 75 came out and it ended up being my main detector for a good decade and a half. Know the T2 had a banner reputation as a relic hunter and the F 75 which is quite similar did good on lead. Hopefully a few will chime in. HH jim tn

Fond of the T2 with the T2 + being my favorite. I am not pleased however with the 11" BiAxial and most of my hunter was done with the 5" Double D in heavy iron trash. I was not a bullet hunter but encountered a lot in the sites I hunted. I didn't have any issues and used 3-Tone most of the time, but preferred bP mode.

I worked slowly and methodically and found my share of bullets w/o problems. If I had a T2+ agin I'd use the NEL Sharpshooter coil.

I use both the 11 inch biaxial coil and sharpshooter and both seem to struggle. I hunt in 0 discrimination, 2+ tones and around 85 sensitivity. It is a good machine overall.

Most hunting was in high mineralization with a lot of Iron Nails and Rusty Tin. There I ran 3-Tone, Disc. 10, Sensitivity 99. In the button areas I favored 2+ Tones, Disc. 10, Sens. 95-99 or BP, also 10 & 99.

Perhaps one difference in performance for me is I'm deaf and relied on Killer B 'Hornet' headphones and those work well for me.

Assuming the F75 and T2 are same frequency? 13.9???? I dont have any experience with a T2 but both machines are near twins. I pull those big 45cal lead bullets out all the time. I run DE, 80sens, 6 disc, 3H tone.

I’ve been using the t2 exclusively for the past 8 years. Never had a problem with it struggling with lead. Number wise in my experience lead comes up most always in the mid to upper 70s. I use the stock coil most of the time and have found that using 75 on sensitivity disc set at 10 in boost process seems to give the best results

Good photo, thank you very much. Although I used 2 tone or 3 tone most of the time, as I mentioned the the boost process mode with a disk setting of 10 and a Sensitivity as high as I could run it perform very well for lead and just about anything else out there.. The T2 works at a very good general purpose frequency.

I've noticed the T2 ain't great on deep lead myself. I think my Garrett ATPRO will get a bullet a little deeper but that is the only thing it might get deeper over the T2

Why do you run your sensitivity on 75?
A statement that has be beat to death but still makes good sense and really applies here concerning the T2 is “ Using too high sensitivity is like driving in heavy fog with your high beams on. You can see, in this case, hear much better with the low beams.
Im just curious what youve experienced with the T2 to make you decide that it struggles on lead👍
