Didja all see Tabmans post yesterday.?. He found TWO gold rings at a park, in the dirt...the backstory is the pictures he posted showing a pile of pulltabs! Between him digging pulltab gold, and Revier digging 3 gold class rings in the zinc range, well, a fellow just has to pay attention and modify hunting behavior accordingly. So today I went to that foily, tabby, tree rooty, junked up park, thinking about how these posts can affect our styles and success...I hit this 5.6gr 925 ring underneath a big maple where folks would go in the shade...it read a tight 91, 3" deep, I thought it was a stack of q's, so commenced to stab away, did not hit them, so I stood back up and reswept...hmmmm, nice tight ping, no washout signal like a flattened crown cap gives...91 is one point lower than a Half, so I thought ring, or maybe old silver Q. and carefully poked around until I hit it. F70 low sens, -3 thresh, 63ground balance, 1 disc, DP tones. I like this forum, the inspiration and tricks for success make it worthwhile, though the zinc and pulltab digging is a real pantload for sure!..
