having 11 birds in the house can be chaos or love. Somethings like the African Grey who watched "Night At The Museum" once and picked up the screeching monkey sound or the 'alarm' sounds of a couple of the birds drive us nearly nuts. Like a freaking jungle. Most times though when the talking birds do talk it is fun and sometimes amazing.
The African Grey has quite a vocabulary and makes many sounds. When I unzip the case on my Bible, unzip the detector bag or zip or unzip my coat he is there with the zipping sound to help me.
When I drink coffee as I pick up the cup I hear the gulp gulp gulp sound of someone swallowing. I always tell him thank you for helping me.
When I reach for my keys or put on my hat its "Bye" because he figures I am going somewhere. Sometimes he says "Dad, gotta go to work?" (He hopes I do because that is when Sherry would get him out of his cage and cuddle with her at night when I worked nights.) He even made phone calls...he makes the dialing sounds then "Hello", "OK" "Bye bye" and ends it with a boop like hanging up the phone.
Another bird says things we don't expect. One day I walked from the living room out onto the porch where he could not see me. He never said this before but this time he said "Where'd he go?"
We have one bird who is so sweet and gentle. When she gets her food at night she say "Thank you". She just surprised us with something new "Bless you".
So as the bird said "Bless you" have a blessed day.

Some of them curse like a sailor when hearing that ungodly language all the time! Glad you and Sherry like birds because I don't, just one in the house would all I could handle and looking through the windows and watching them!
