I just want to thank Brian from the NEMDF and his generousity in inviting me to his hunt spot. It went well even though is was raining and muddy....but with this old tavern still standing and I was in awwwwwwwww.......just looking at it....I was in my glory. He lead me on a journey to the locations of his finds here and in my eyes the Navy silver ring was the BEST!....He showed me all kinds of Silver and other....but once I got the XS in my hands....I found a LC....1802....and over time came up with a 1801 LC and a 1944 wheat....wierd....and the rest of finds.........just a few pics.....I love this rescue of old crusty coppers......I can't imagine how many old coins have been bulldozed over and trashed.......

Fantastic scores! I can't believe some of the old coppers that some of you guys are finding. Great keepers for your collection.

nice finds!

Sure must be fun digging in such an Old Area and retrieving that Old of Coins. I can only hope to someday make it out east and find some Oldies like those and add to the collection. Congrats on recovering 2 more long lost Coins and adding them to your collection. Continued Success, Good Luck and HH to you.

I can only dream of finding old coins like that in my podunker parks. You are absolutely right...if we actually knew how many nice old coins are bulldozed or scraped away...it would probably make us sick:stars:Nice finds.

Thanks Bryce....today is the last day of mild weather.....maybe I can get out and scare up a few more before chilly willy shows up Monday. I hate winter...but the beaches are always game in winter.

Thanks James and if you are ever out this way I hope to meet up and do some hunting with you...2 XS's are better than one.

Thanks Terry......Finding lost and forgotten old coins is the best!....Gold at the Beaches is ok too...can't wait to see what this winter is going to stir up :detecting:

Just think of how many have been lost to the Urban Jungle....if I only had the Explorer XS back then....before the Dozers arrived and the Pavers. There is still a few coppers left....just need to get-r-dug!

Wow those are some awesome finds, congrats!!!
