Yes, it will low tone iron if you've not disc out iron and give the zip zip on everything else. BP mode is the same as 2 + but much deeper. CL mode is the same as 2+ and BP but deeper than both with a much slower response. BP and CL I believe we're set up with the relic hunter in mind . I'm a relic hunter and I use nothing but BP and CL and have had good success.. The T2 se, with all the options available at your finger tips, is like having 2 or 3 different units in one. I have several other detectors and even with sensitivity set at factory default it's still as powerful as the others set wide open. You can set this machine up to hunt parks, tot lots, and civil war sites with good results. I've spent some bucks on other detectors since I've had the T2 just to have something different for different situations. I kick myself for not just getting another t2 se for back-up.

WOW ! is a good word to sum it up.

A lot of depth....... solid lock-on ID. 2 3 3b 4 tones works very well for me...........DP ( Delta pitch) too. I didn't like the BP zip zip sounds much to be honest. But, that said ID was dead on...

..................... I was nailing 5 to 10" deep coins with ease. No doubt what your going to dig either. The Id is very accurate.. I liked that zincs hit at 78 and most bottle screw caps hit 80 or 81..Just a couple hit at 78.

One 1926 mercury dime hit at 9"...loud and clear at 83 ID..All Quarters ( Clad) were at 89.. Two Nickels, were 57, and 58 .One was tipped a little in the ground (57) 70 sens, 40 discrimination 4 tones.

Quarters were 5" to 10" deep.......... all read accurate on depth..I am very pleased with the T2 LTD...........

I ranged 60 sens to 85 sens just seeing how it operated. I ran all disc iron settings at 40 with different sens ................ and once ran up to 80 on discrimination. Just to see how it worked. Hit a clad dime at 6" with plenty of depth left. Raised coil at least 4" and still got a nice solid 83 ID..So good depth will not be a problem for me..

Light weight and easy to swing all afternoon... I did not try all metal. I doubt I will ever use that..Or the BP mode as I like tone Id's and BP only has two.. May use it in tall uncut grass if I have to.. but the zip zip sound does not impress me much.. It's fast on the reset for sure....

Right on Elton. I knew you'd like it. You can set that machine up to deal with a lot of different situations. But don't discount BP, CL, and zip zip just yet. In the right spot and hunting conditions, including coin hunting, that zip zip will sound like the Star-Spangled Banner.

Ok........... You may be right...

Elton i run mine all metal, but i put it in Disc mode first, put the Disc on 0 and Ground Balance then i put it in all metal because will follow over works great for me i do +1 at 60 to 77. I to ran only in Disc mode but now past month all i run all metal. By the why good talking to you again

Bill good Luck love the T2 i used to have the F75 if you remember only thing i miss is the Back Lite.

today's the first time in awhile that I've used the bp mode and probably the first time with several targets at different depths. it seems like the zip, zip is only on the shallow targets

Yea I like the 4 tones too........ Brings up the nickel tone as high........

nickles are high tone on 3 but so are the square pull tabs. whats the 4th tone cover. zincs are mid-tone on 3 but nickles are high.

On my T2 SE I use nothing but BP boost mode. when over a non ferrous object a clear tone is received even when the machine is moved over in the cross method i.e moved opposite direction over the target .When iron is passed over then sometimes the T2 will give a good signal. But checking in the opposite direction the signal is not clear and the ID number will be below 30 where a good clear tone over a non ferrous object will give 45 upwards. BUT very large iron can give 90 !! then its a horse shoe or plough share. I have just been advised to try the CL mode never thought of it before.Dope ! yesterday I air tested a small button 2cm diameter the BP mode 5" the CL mode 9" how that will play out on my Roman sites will have to be determined .By the way the test was using a NEL sharpshooter coil.Had to as my stock coil has died. waiting now for a Nel Hunter coil to arrive.

@Youngted,Brian,it will be interesting too see how you get on with the Hunter coil, could well be a very good choice on your roman sites, keep us updated if you dont mind.

tried 4 tone today but it brings the zinc pennies up to high tone and i like to ignore them on newer spots.
