Tesoro Silver UMax - Need Your Beach Hunting Tips !

Hi Guys, We are going on vacation soon and my Wife is going to be using her Tesoro Silver U-Max for the first time.
She only wants to hunt the sand on the fresh water beach that's close to where we will be staying.

Do you have any tips on how she should set up and use the machine - outside of the obvious things.

Thanks !

Just like in dirt, freshwater shouldn't affect it like saltwater does so it should act normally even in wet sand or into the water...but be careful near water.
Sense high as she can go without noise, low as she can go in disc.
Probably lots of trash, tabs, crown caps and whatever but she can raise the disc if it gets to be a hassle with a warning...
Higher disc might lose a little bit of depth and chains, both gold and silver, could come in pretty low even down into foil or lower on the thin ones.
In dry sand most targets drop fast and can get deep even the tiny ones and especially gold because it is dense.
My first ever gold ring was found in the dry sand on the beach.
Really tiny 10k child's or toe ring and it was still at about 7-8" deep despite it's size.
Usually easy digging so that is one other great thing about hunting in sand.

Get yourself a3x18 cleansweep. and install it on that silver. Then clean up the beach with all its gold and silver rings . Enjoy.
