So I have to ask, how does it (the grip) feel. Will it work for a 3-4 hour hunt? Looks like the laces might be an issue? Other than that I have a pair of old boots I don't just want to toss!

i had a hard time with the choice of were to lace up at.
i use gloves a lot so i figured i would put them in the back so i wouldnt have any bumps rubbing against my nuckels and fingers. most of the weight is on the fingers so if the lases were hurting my palm i could just loosen my hand up.
but with or without gloves i havent had any problems on long hunts.
it actualy feels comfy.
