The difference between an 'amateur' and a 'professional'?

Their either hunting virgin ground ( Their or family yards).or darn lucky ..plus newbies usually dig every target.. Us seasoned detectorists get a little to selective on our digs..
 
I would say it's your admission into the church of compadre means you've been around enough to know that the most expensive bells and whistles detector is no match for understanding a detector......... Lol j/k

Ain't that the troth! LOL! An inflated sense of self worth goes a long way as well.

Professionals are undoubtedly those on the internet who find it necessary to preface anything they say with a statement as to how long they have been detecting.:)
