The latest results from this past weekend's hunt. A bit long but a good read. Part:1 of 3.

This guy also didn't have a Probe on his detector which meant that every time he dug down, he would have to re-scan the hole to see if it was out or not. One hole, I stood there watching him, over an area that I had just went through with the Stock Coil and he would be digging in this area that I knew nothing was good there. He would check the hole and find out he was off a bit and dig another half of a plug on one side and then check it. Then he would dig a different side out making the Plug that much more bigger. I thought what an idiot since he was digging nothing good in the first place and was after most likely either Junk or a Rusty Nail. As long as he stays out of well manicured lawns or well kept areas with a lot of people traffic, it won't bother me too much for now. I just hope he realized the the digger (Lesche) I was using was more practical and he down sizes from the Shovel to a Small Digger. If you are having problems with making Old Coin finds, PM me with any questions you may have like how I find out where to go, Settings, or any other info you may need to become more successful in finding the Old Stuff. We need a cheap replacement lower rod for wraping it around peoples head or shoving it up their a$$.Their is nothing worse then a sore loser who cant find silver.He should of ask to watch you and maybe he could of learned something.But Im sure he knows everything about detecting.Those are some sweet finds and good luck on your next hunt.:clapping::clapping::clapping:
 
Great finds yet again James!

My XS is on summer vacation until golf season is over- you'll see my finds again in October. In the meantime, keep up the great work!

Either you really like Golfing or you did what I have dreamed about doing, making an XS look like a Golf Club and start detecting Old Golf Courses undetected? Could you imagine the results on some of them really old Golf Courses! Seriously though, Good Luck with your Golf Game and will look forward to you posting again after the Golf Season. Good Luck and HH when you get out.
 
The only Lower Rod worthy of such people would have to be a Bounty Hunter's. The Explorer's Lower Rods are too expensive, even the original XS,S Lower Rods. Sounds like you got yourself a nice spot there for some time to come. Your story reminds me of a local fishing hole that my buddy and I used to fish as kids. The guy fishing 20 yards down the shoreline from us was all smiles as we put our poles in the water. After about 15 minutes we each had pulled out some nice size small mouths, and he hadn't gotten so such as a nibble. He couldn't take it anymore and went bonkers, telling us we need to leave immediately and that were were on private property.

If he had any brains we would have stayed cool. Who knows, he might have picked up some tips on how to use his machine from one of the best.:thumbup:

I sometimes surprise myself on finds and this was yet another time out that I did exactly that. My Explorer XS has always been RED HOT and still is. Glad you liked the finds and Good Luck and HH to you on your ventures out detecting.:thumbup:
 
I would have liked to show him how to get better results with his Explorer but I guess he really didn't need any advice. Maybe he was having All-Timers at that moment and didn't realize what he said. One thing for sure though, I know now to just stay away from that guy and let him be off in his own little world. Thanks for the reply and Good Luck and HH to you.:detecting:

Nothing like getting into a spot and popping Old Coins left and right. My finds look great on this post but like I said, I really had to work for alot of them. Patterning was how it became a big success. Thanks for the reply and Good Luck and HH to you on your next adventures outdoors.:detecting:
 
I guess you could call me, Dale, and Tim the James Gang. Unfortunately, Dale is getting too much business right now and making too much money to worry about detecting for awhile.
