Nice to get out of the stone age with the old web site .
It looks very good and Dave Johnson has some nice articles on there and a little
talk of what will replace the LTD in 2010:fisher:

I notice that the bill the 1270x as their relic machine and that the CZ3D runs in two frequencies, 5 and 15. Do you think either of these machines have any advantage, in any given situation, over the F75 LTD or the T2 ?
The only Fisher detectors i've ever used are the F75 and the F75 LTD, plus I have a T2.

I've thought from time to time about trying a CZ3D but have been put off by wondering if it would be calibrated correctly and how would I know and would it do anything that the 75 or T2 wont do.

Thanks!!

Julien

Julien from your list of detectors you like to try many different brands. So to try a CZ i don't think you would be disappointed.
But it might not be a advantage over what you have now.I have a CZ 70 as a back up to my F 75.The CZ70 is rain proof i don't think the
CZ3D is. The CZ line is simple and deep not affected by EMI .The 3D seem to vary on depth with the hot ones hitting a dime at over 12 inches
I can get about 11 inches . NASA Tom who helped design the 3D used a F75 until the LTD came out . The CZs don't have DD coils . Tom said
thy would not work with the design of the CZ . If thy did thy would go toe to toe with all the others.Still very good and a great back up HH Mike

No mention of the F75 LTD... very strange indeed!

Either they have a new machine right around the corner or they are mismanaging the marketing of the LTD.

Why don't they advertise the unit???

They are sold out right? No need to advertise. I read where even T-2s (not the LTD's) are back ordered until March. Unless a new model is sitting is a warehouse somewhere, I don't think we will see one this spring with all this demand for the current line-up.

I guess thy could have a picture and a comment on it but it is/was limited in production and the run is over
why post a unit your not making any more

Don't know about the 1270x, but also had the 3D before getting my F 75. My 3D was one of the good serial numbered ones and while it was very deep, it never was quite as deep as my F 75. It, of course, handled better on the salt water beaches then my 75 and emi was never a problem. But, it very seldom is with my F 75, either. I had a chance to sell the cz3D and did and replaced it with the T2. Although I like the T2 very much, I really wished I had kept the 3D. Particularly, for those three or so times annually I get to the salt water beaches. HH jim tn

Excellent site and a 100% improvement over the old one...a lot of good info...nice to have all of Dave Johnson's essays all in one easy to reference spot.

extra long coil cable. Don't see how it can be hip mounted with the trigger switch under the control box.

It is a nice web sight I just wonder if they are going to keep it up to date?

I have a prediction. Fisher's 80th anniversary is in 2011 and I bet there will be a new machine to commemorate that. My guess it will be called an F80 that is just a tweak better than the F75 LTD and it will come out later this year.

Just a wild guess, but sounds logical to me.

You can sell your used T-2 for thousands on Ebay if you ship out of the country, so why not let it go and pick up a new F75 LTD and a clean used CZ3D?

Very probable...

I already have the F 75 LTD and keeping my F 75 as backup and sold the T 2 to a fellow club member at a fair price for both of us. HH jim tn

it DOES sound logical!..i believe that dave and team already have something in prototype form being secretly tested somewhere!,,wouldn't bet against it,and also you can take it to the bank that garrett, and whitey have torn apart the "ltd" and are trying to develop a "circuit design that doesn't circumvent ft's patents
buy hey!..what else is new!..they been doin' that for the last thirty years or so!..he he he!

rock on!

I like that web sight but I think fisher could be more high tec...maybe do a forum with videos or interview videos with their designers..I mean fisher is blowing the socks off the other compaines why not knock their sock off. And are they going update the websight they don't even mention the LTD or the new gold machine. It is a great sight that could be better coming from a company that has changed the detecting world with the F75...
