I recently purchased a used White's Bulls eye pinpointer on-line and was extremely disappointed, enough to make me immediately turn around and sell it AFTER I purchased a new Garrett Pro-pointer and compared the two of them.
The pro-pointer has accurate sensitivity well in excess of 1 to 2 inches in depth and it also side scans an equal distance if not more. I did an air check on a LARGE object, my two drawer file cabinet, and got a distance of about 18 inches. This would be great for outlining a larger than "normal" target.
There are two GREAT videos of the Pro-pointers capabilities on the Garrett Forum (pages 3 & 4?) that show new and different ways to expedite retrieval of targets you locate with your detector.
