THE NEW GARRETT PRO-POINTER IS A MUST in my opinion.

I recently purchased a used White's Bulls eye pinpointer on-line and was extremely disappointed, enough to make me immediately turn around and sell it AFTER I purchased a new Garrett Pro-pointer and compared the two of them.

The pro-pointer has accurate sensitivity well in excess of 1 to 2 inches in depth and it also side scans an equal distance if not more. I did an air check on a LARGE object, my two drawer file cabinet, and got a distance of about 18 inches. This would be great for outlining a larger than "normal" target.

There are two GREAT videos of the Pro-pointers capabilities on the Garrett Forum (pages 3 & 4?) that show new and different ways to expedite retrieval of targets you locate with your detector.

That one of my buddies bought one a couple weeks ago and he likes it.

Thanks for the information, Mark. My old pin pointer died a while back and I had been looking at new ones online. I had seen the Garrett's online as well as an ad in a magazine, and had thought it sounded like a good one. Guess I'll go that route whenever I decide to breakdown and actually buy a new one.

Thanks,

Mark, I agree with you 100%, the Pro Pointer is amazing!

Once you have one, you never want to detect without it.

Welcome marcomo to the CMD Forum....glad to have you posting with us! Please feel free to post again and tell us about yourself and show us some pics too, if you can! We really like to hear :detecting: stories and see what is found! :) God Bless! Betty

............... where I can buy this pin-pointer at a good price? If so, please send me a private message with the information (I don't want to get in trouble for advertising on here). I've looked on Ebay and find it for $127 - $130, with free shipping, but I would like to find an even better price.

Thanks!

I got one for Christmas from my husband -
I haven't tested it in real conditions yet, but I've been very happy with the air and object location under cloth tests I did.
I'm looking forward to Spring. snow, snow - go AWAY!!!

I would highly recommend dealing with a reputable dealer because if you have a problem after the return time on EBay, you probably are stuck dealing with the factory.

I bought mine from Gerry's Detectors, he is a sponsor on finds forums and I usually see his ad on the MineLab X-Terra forum at the top.
