The results of several hunts with the Deus .....

I mostly relic hunted as can be seen by the pictures.I put in about 8 hours coin hunting and about twice as many at my CW site that is a carpet of square nails resulting from over 40 buildings/houses being burned to the ground during the CW.

It is like a laser in the heavy nails and will hit the smallest little targets in between the nails.I only found one coin at the relic site and it was a badly burned half dime along with a similar sized only thinner hand cut silver disc. Also dug some interesting larger iron relics without being bothered with nails as it was easy to tell the difference.

The Deus hits hard on the bullets and all lead in general down to tiny bits.

I am in SW MO and the soil is in the mid range mineral wise and was able to run the sensitivity maxed or a couple of numbers below max at every site I hunted, even in town.Much quieter than any of the other single frequency machine I have used in the past.None of the old snap, crackle and pop lol.

Ground balance was a breeze as well and pinpointing is very easy if not the easiest of any DD coiled machine I have had the pleasure to use.

On targets at great depth the ID numbers up average a bit which may cause you to dig a few more deep trash targets but will also help you to not miss the extra deep good targets:thumbup:

The weight or perhaps I should say the lack of weight is awesome in my book.I believe most 10 year old kids could swing this thing for hours without to much fatigue.Any one physically challenged by the weight of the average detector should give the Deus a test run.

Dang you Ray, now I want one for sure for some of the iron pits I hunt in. Thanks for the report and congrats on the finds. Will have to sell something or wait a while before I can get one though.

Man...that's ALOT of nice old coins.
Great news on the iron.
Thanks for sharing

That is a ton of CW relics, very impressive. Looks like you got a good mix of bullets, buttons, buckles, and a little bit of everything. Have not done any dedicated CW relic hunting yet this year, but I do find some CW relics during my coin hunts. Thanks for sharing.

That's a lot of digging.

I played with several but settled on the GMaxx most of the time set at 8-12 Khz for coins and 12-18 Khz for relics with 18 Khz in the worst nail infested areas.I was using 2 tones for relics and 4 tones for coins. When I get some free time or energy I will clean the stuff and post more pics.I am always ready to go digging before taking time to clean my previous finds lol.

The Deus is a great relic hunter for sure. Nice finds
