The silver has to be there!

Got permission to hunt a young ladies "81" front yard yesterday. We chatted for about and hour and she said have at it. Her front yard is no more than 20X20 yards and surrounded by sidewalk and driveway. The house next door was vacant and in need of repair and she informed me to hunt it also it was her families. Her front yard I gridded nice and slow and got 10 wheats a nickel, 20 pennies, and several dimes in two hours. Went back this morning and worked on the front yard next door. Ended up all total for 4 hours with for both hunts with 41 pennies, 9 dimes, 1 nickel, 12 wheaties, a WWII coat button, and a first love metal ribbon of some sort. We need some rain badly! If we get a good soaker these spots should spit out the goods. Like digging dust right now. No silver yet but it has to be there with the dates on the wheats. Can't wait to hit the side and back yards.

Thats a good start I hope you find the goodies

I agree--based on the Wheats you found, there should be some silver hiding somewhere around there. Did she say if the yard had been hunted before? Hopefully it will rain for you soon. Keep at it, you're bound to zero in on some silver. Thanks for the story and pictures.

None of this has been hunted before. Visited this afternoon again and detected the front yard next door and got 22 pennies 6 dimes and a quarter. Only 1 wheat penny go figure. It poured down while I was there and the rain lasted till dark. I'll be back in the morning:minelab:in hand. The only problem I might see is all the over head wires in the older part of town setting. 22 in manual is very noisy. The machine runs 18 in auto because of the overhead.

I agree with you. That's a lot of wheats for not finding a silver something. Sounds like you got a nice place to hunt there though.
