The smallest gold ring in the world? How small or big's yours?

Went to a secret spot last night and slept in my pick up truck. Hunted 3 different beaches, loads of sand gone, but didn't find much. Just before I decided to hit the sack I saw a shooting star, so that was great, but then 10 minutes later It started to thunder and lightening! I made it back to the truck and parked up on a nice quiet street, climbed in the back and got in to my sleeping bag. It rained all night, and my ranger leaks, but it wasn't to bad. I woke up at 7 to the sounds of an f1 Grand Prix outside my window! not such a great spot after all then! A bit of breakfast and back to the hunt, this time it rained for 4 hours solid and I was soaked,2 coats, waders and hoodie. I found a few cool things, a french 1854 5 centime coin, a 1913 penny and an 1897 half penny. I also got some really old sinkers, (I hope you can see them in the picture).

I did find a gold ring, it is the smallest ring I have ever seen, it weights 0.4g!!!
My biggest one is next to it, it weighs 18.7g!

What's the biggest and smallest rings you've ever found? Lets see your pictures......
Good luck out there, WW

Nice hunt all things considered... great variety of finds.. the 12 inches of snow we were supposed to get last night totally missed us. Still way to cold but at least I dont have spend hours shoveling. Congrats.

Snap, I had this 0.4g 9k ring last year, the smallest I ever had. The largest I ever had was a 15g 22k

I really wish I could remember anything about the small ring. Maybe my old Whites 5900 at 37 inches???? I can remember my first gold ring, but I can remember my last!

The big one YES, I do remember that. I tried like heck to get it back only to find out the owner died in 1956 and his wife in 65. I tried to follow anything from CA. but nothing. I do wear it at time with PRIDE as he was a fellow Submariner.

Here is my smallest , 14k and a wt. of like 1. something grams.

Very well done on your finds, congrats.

Both gold rings were found in playgrounds, the BIG silver ring was found at a ball field parking area.

My smallest gold ring so far is 1.3 g. Yesterday I found my smallest gold item with my Excalibur II. It only gave a weak tone on the excal but I was inquisitive as to what I was hearing. It was in the dry sand up against an eroded dune. Misplaced my scales but it cant weigh a gram. Dime in picture is for size comparison. The other item is sterling.

Yeah Geo..tiny! :surprised: That dry sand up against eroded dunes is primo hunting for me too...seems everybody else detecting heads straight for the water...

I found a small singet ring with an A on it that kept falling through my scoop. This was in 01. It was ankle deep...had to fan for it. It would easily fit on a dime. Have no idea what happened to it either lmao. hh an gl -Joe
