The Tesoro LCD Digital Display.

Tesoro is going to mount all new models with light weight control boxes back to the under the rod mount such as the lobo, but much lighter and sleeker.Out of the rear of the new design control box will be two ports.Audio out and video display. On the top of the rod will be a display holder. The digital display unit pops into this holder. This display unit will only be sold seperate. The display has many functions. One is converting the analog signal to digital. That's right, you get a famous old school analog detector with the ability to mount a computer on top.The new rod design will be carbon fiber. The new designs with display screen will weigh less than the current models. What are your ideas?

Sounds like a suped up model of My TolTec II Might be interested in one of these with Manual Ground Balance capabilties any chance?

Sounds very interesting, but Tesoro has always been very secretive until ready to realease a new machine so where did you get this info?

I am thinking the new LCD display should be made out of cardboard so that it doesn't work and you can just go back to listening to the tone. Same as it's ever been.

I was just thinking up some futuristic type cool stuff, that's all.It would be cool to have a add on digital display unit. You know,it just pops in the holder like your iphone!

If you enjoy hunting shallow coins and jelwery...By all means #'s and tone will help you...But people that have been in this hobby for a long time know that deep coin's dont give off a high tone and #'s like 95..... I think Tesoro could make some changes to their Cortes and Deleon...Cortes----Bigger read out, adjustable notch, ground balance in disc and all metal modes, choice of running a # of tones or single tone.. Deleon---selectable tones...other than that leave it alone...You cant have all models with adjustable ground balance..Some people just want simplicity...Some People like to fiddle...like me...Far as single tone adjustable knobs....These are my favorites...I sure hope Tesoro always has a line-up of these beep and dig models...Ive made some fantastic finds with the cortes and it wasn't because i had #'s and sum mode...It always comes down to what your listening to...

As they are right now Tesoro metal detectors are the best bang for performance for the dollar. If you are really willing to learn a machine and not go broke buying it, get a Tesoro. I would not want to see addittional features drive the price up. If Tesoro wanted to make a super detector with larger display etc. that would be fine, just make a new model. I think the existing line up they offer gives lots of feasible options.

On the current models I'd like to see a display as big or a bit bigger than the DeLeon on the Cortez and a manual ground balance that works in both modes on the Cortes. Otherwise it works just fine for my needs.

Arm mount speaker. In Australia they run a external speaker to there upper arm.To hot for headphones. To dangerous because of snakes. So they get the speaker closer to there ear.I think i would rather have a volume control on a detector than a speaker you can't cut up or down. :O

I would rather have a volume knob than a speaker.Someone make a aftermarket external speaker .You plug it in the headphone jack and it straps to your arm if you want a speaker.Speakers are areas in the control box that can let contaminants into the sensitive area.Micro metal shards are attracted to the speaker magnet. It lets moist air into the circuit box. What's the point?.I say protect the electronics better? What do you think?. :O The detectors will even weigh less also.
