After I dug the Barber I scanned the hole with the probe and by golly there was another high tone coming from the hole. I love it when that happens! Your mind starts running fast with thoughts of what the next coin is or how many more are there!!!!! Well the second coin from the hole was the merc.--1924 in great shape! Scanned the hole again and guess what--no more tones but that's okay. It's few and far between getting 2 silver coins in one hole. Then about 20 feet from there the no date SLQ pops out of the ground. Not a bad hunt. 2 indians for the day--1899 and 1892. The 1899 has all four diamonds on the ribbon strong and clear, I think a little olive oil might make this one of my sharpest indians. Picture doesn't do it justice.

That IH is in superb shape. I'm glad you had a good day. I like when people post their finds. It inspires me to keep pushing even when we have our off days.
 
I could find an injun in that sweet condition. Most of mine have been popping out pretty nasty. You had a great day...and I hope it continues on your next hunt.
 
That must have been exciting to hear that other silver coin down in the hole! The sight of silver really gets the adrenaline going and the anticipation of waiting for more that may show up is what it is all about. Great hunt!

Great finds - congratulations! I had silver luck this past weekend too. Dug a 1958 Canadian quarter followed by a '41 and '44 Washington quarters (in 25 feet or so of each other). Also got an IH and a nice CW eagle "I" button that went to the super nice old lady land owner. She was thrilled. Good to see you still got some of the luck magnets.

Let get together again for a hunt.

When one sees Barber coming out of the dirt, then your mind starts racing as to what may lay ahead in your hunt and it really starts racing when you get multiple Signals in that hole the Barber came from. Nice Quarter also! Congrats on that nice Indian Head. Those are tough to find with the Full Diamonds on the Ribbon, especially in that condition.
