This question might have already been asked--but........

Are we still going to have that "sweet" silver audio tone on the CTX as we have had on past Explorers/Etrac?-----I believe it was stated that the tone I.D. variability feature isn't included on the CTX.------I guess another way to phrase my question: Can the CTX be made (adjusted) to sound like the Explorers/Etracs (audio wise)?------------Thanks, Del

High variability on the E-TRAC resulted in maximum variation of pitch from one target to the next. This was nice for identifying closely adjacent targets. Audio Variability is not a function on the CTX 3030. Honestly, with the "see through" ability of this detector, I don't think you'll miss it. JMHO HH Randy

I'm going to miss it.----I've enjoyed it & found it very useful on all the Explorers and the Etrac I've had.----IMO, it's a shame that function wasn't included on the CTX.-----Well, as the saying goes--"what is, is".----I (we) will just have to learn to live with out it.-----I'm sure other features (and performance) on the CTX are going to be WELL WORTH the expense of "upgrading" to it.---Looks like it is going to be a "dynamite" detector.--------Del

Del - If enough people complain about it, they will just put it in a software upgrade. Really.

I ran my variability up high, love those high tones there.

I hope they do Albert.----Man, that's one feature I REALLY loved about the Minelabs.
