Swung the LTD with small 5" coil all week and continued hunting strips, both sidewalk and parking lots, and ditches and ditch banks. Besides a few keepers, I dug more clad then has been the norm. 37 quarters, 51 dimes, 9 nickels, countless cents and 10 wheaties. 6 of the wheat cents came yesterday. All in all, I was able to sneak up on 5 silver coins, 1 Washington quarter, 3 Merc's and a Rosie. The 1942d Mercury is a real beauty with really nice luster. Got a couple of pieces of junk jewelry. I like the beetle. Think it might have been a pin. It was a week for pad locks, as you can see. The 1 item appears to be a fitting of sorts. I googled Chandler Evans and it is a co that makes fittings and things for boats and subs....among other things. I really don't mind hunting dry ground for old silver. Coins seem to really hit with a crisper note. Glad to see and hear some of you have gotten rain. HH jim tn
