This week in review.

Swung the LTD with small 5" coil all week and continued hunting strips, both sidewalk and parking lots, and ditches and ditch banks. Besides a few keepers, I dug more clad then has been the norm. 37 quarters, 51 dimes, 9 nickels, countless cents and 10 wheaties. 6 of the wheat cents came yesterday. All in all, I was able to sneak up on 5 silver coins, 1 Washington quarter, 3 Merc's and a Rosie. The 1942d Mercury is a real beauty with really nice luster. Got a couple of pieces of junk jewelry. I like the beetle. Think it might have been a pin. It was a week for pad locks, as you can see. The 1 item appears to be a fitting of sorts. I googled Chandler Evans and it is a co that makes fittings and things for boats and subs....among other things. I really don't mind hunting dry ground for old silver. Coins seem to really hit with a crisper note. Glad to see and hear some of you have gotten rain. HH jim tn

Looks like you have the Silver finds in your area locked up.
Only thing I had locked up was high heat, and concrete hard ground...

Good job fine Sir..

Yeah, that beetle is really cool! Now go find a gold one! :clapping: Hey, thats a really nice week, great clad count too...nickles a little low though...you'll never find a gold coin thataway.. Still expecting you to dig one in that old silver area someday..

Really cool haul my friend. Wish i had more spots to coin hunt but i shouldnt complain im blessed with some wonderful relic areas and hundreds of acres with permission to detect on. Alot of guys would love to have my spots. But seeing ur coin #s make me a tad jealous .........good job:csflag::teknetics:

I'll trade you a couple of old coin spots for a couple of your relic sites. LOL Lot of civil war activity in and around my area of Germantown and Collierville, but all is private land and permission is tough to obtain, except for a select few that got in's years ago. I do have a couple of good spots and looking forward to fall when the woods get right. HH jim tn

Jim I bet you sleep with those coins under your pillow and have sweet dreams of silver coins. What a guy... Mighty fine week in my book......Z
