Went out last Sunday to a place that I have pulled a few keepers from. I managed to find a WWII Era coat button, a Benrus wrist watch, a 38 Washington, a 1947 British Big Penny & a few wheats. I got out for about an hour on Friday to a new place, but it was tough going with tall grass and a lot of ticks. I managed a 1943 War Nickel, my first with my Etrac.
I went out yesterday with LDC, and had a good time trying to sniff out some keepers from a new area. We did not find the hot spots, but found a few neat relics. LDC scored with the only silver and I found a clad Kennedy half dollar, which is a first for me & a buffalo & some wheats. I found a flat piece of lead and thought it was junk until I cleaned it up and discovered it's a Minnie Ball that appears to have been put on the train tracks to flatten it. We were at a house that was built in the 20's, but was told by the home owners that there was a lot of Civil War action at that location. That was a great surprise. Not a ton of finds but some good fun out hunting. HH David
